Exceptional depiction of sexual fluids. Beyond a normal woman's ability to produce so much liquid, however this is a fairy tale, right? The ending is a bit weak when the author introduces stud service. However I enjoy Lana's writing.

This was surprisingly good, graphic, but good and definitely hot. A few grammatical errors, but I read through just fine. I sort of wish there was a sequel. I liked Princess Abigail and her handmaiden Izabelle.

Let me start by saying I usually don't read alien books. This one was an ARC and I've got to say wow! This story is about a very smart young lady in trouble with some loan sharks, so she enters a contest video game for a chance to win a 100,000 grand. All is not what it seems as she soon finds out. This book was so good I went on to read the rest of the books that goes with this one. The are funny,sexy,and very steamy romances. If you haven't read this book do yourself a favor and get it even if it's not your cup of tea. Wasn't mine but oh boy an I glad I got a copy.

One of the best series ever!

The idea behind Endworld has encouraged many more titles such as the book Swan Song and even the movie The Day After. It is an interesting read that deals with a group of people living in a very fictional post apocalyptic future. A future that has mutants, mutated humans, a crazed Russian army along with tons of other interesting hurdles they must cross in order to stay alive. It has rich detailed characters, interesting action and some nice jokes. While it is not Shakespeare as far as the writing is concerned, it is fast paced and can keep you interested. Do not read this series if you are going to worry about details and unrealistic action. This book is in the sci-fi area for a reason. I recommend the first one to everyone I know, for the simple fact it is worth the time to look it over

Action in the post-WWIII world

This is the 1st I've read by Robhbins and I intend to be back for more. It's action in postwar Minnesota as Blade, Geronimo and Hickock undertake a mission to find out what else is left outside their compound. Great touches abound-killer mutant squirrels, gladiatorlike combat with Wolverines and living killer clouds all make the world of Blade a living hell. In a surprising twist, the heroes are given a mission early on and by the end of this actionfest, they haven't even started the mission; thus promising plenty of action to come. Nice touch.

One of the best adventure scfi.books I've ever read,and I collect this series,and try to get all of the ones that follow in it. This one kept me on the edge of my seat,and couldn't put it down to do anything till I'd finished. One of the things I like about all of them is that they fasten on to you from the minute you pick them up till you finish,and then you hunt everywhere just to get the next one;as you don't want to miss a single thing that will happen to the FamilY! Please let the author know that they are a well loved books,and that his fan's would like more of them!

About the Author
Keith Doyle has over 25 years of experience in the field of optomechanical engineering, working on a diverse range of high-performance optical instruments specializing in the multidisciplinary analysis and integrated modeling of optical systems. He is currently a Group Leader in the Engineering Division at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He previously served in a variety of roles including Vice President of Sigmadyne, Inc., Senior Systems Engineer at Optical Research Associates, and a Structures Engineer at Itek Optical Systems. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in Engineering Mechanics with a minor in the Optical Sciences in 1993, and he holds a BS degree from Swarthmore College received in 1988. Dr. Doyle is an active participant in SPIE symposia, teaches short courses on optomechanics and integrated modeling, and has authored and coauthored over 30 technical papers in optomechanical engineering.

Dr. Victor Genberg PE has over 45 years of experience in the application of finite element methods to highperformance optical structures, and is a recognized expert in optomechanics. He is currently President of Sigmadyne, Inc. Prior to starting Sigmadyne, Dr. Genberg worked at Eastman Kodak for 28 years, serving as a technical specialist for commercial and military optical instruments. He is an author of SigFit, a commercially available software product for optomechanical analysis. Dr. Genberg is also a full professor (adjunct) of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester, where he teaches a variety of courses in finite elements, design, optimization, and optomechanics. He has over 50 publications. He received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1973.

Gregory Michels PE has worked for twenty years in optomechanical design and analysis, and is currently Vice President of Sigmadyne, Inc. He received his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 1994. He specializes in finite element analysis and design optimization of high-performance optical systems. Mr. Michels is also a software developer and technical support engineer for Sigmadyne's optomechanical analysis software product, SigFit. Prior to co-founding Sigmadyne, he worked at Eastman Kodak for five years as a structural analyst on the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. Mr. Michels has authored or co-authored over 25 papers in the field of integrated optomechanical analysis and teaches short courses on finite element analysis and integrated modeling.

About the Author
Neil Rhodes is Reader in English Literature at the university of St Andrews. His previous publications include The Power of Eloquence and English Renaissance Literature (1992), John Donne: Selected Prose (1987), and Elizabethan Grotesque (1980). Jonathan Sawday is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at Strathclyde University. He is author of The Body Emblazoned (1995), and co-editor of Literature and the English Civil War.

God, what a great book, but beware of history nerds!

This book is a set of essays passing on the lessons of old to a generation who could really gain from an understanding of past and similar events.
Each author gets a chance to illustrate how the contentious events following the invention and deployment of printing technology mirrors the frustration of our current explosion of information. Its scarry how similar things are.
But this isn't simply a bunch of writings by a bunch of history nerds. These guys go way beyond, and its for this insightful vision that the book is worth far more than its asking price.
History has a great way of repeating itself, and its powerful to leverage history's lessons if one wants to lift himself above the fog of the tail chasers.
One author (sorry, I forget who) talks about how reading morphed from a verbal and social activity to one characterised by silence and solitude, and how the computer may allow us back to the social impacts of storytelling. This is notable because we all know how much more is retained when you read aloud and when it becomes a social activity.
But one essay in particular takes the reader into the dialog of 1500 something or other and I gotta be honest, I don't care _that_ much about history. Plus, almost all authors make the mistake of assuming the reader knows who they are talking about.
There's history buffs and there's those who are interested in history from a practical perspective. For the most part this book is for the practical.
Some of the authors could have benefited by realizing the powerful applicability of their work, and thus written it for the Homo-erectus man like me.
But I really enjoyed this book, I read it in just under a week, and I have a two year old and a newborn. There were times when I was wishing there was a way to write the authors to thank them for their good work. Then it occurred to me that I could by writing a review on Amazon.

Buyer beware of the Kindle edition

I looked forward to reading this book, and I already have so many books that whoever possible, I choose an electronic option. In this case, that was a mistake. The Kindle edition of this book is terrible. First, and most importantly, many of the illustrations and plates in the original book are missing, apparently due to copyright concerns. This should be in the book description! Without the illustrations, it is not the same book. Second, the layout is terrible. It is impossible to distinguish between the editors' introductions (are they introductions by the editors? I don't really know and can't tell from this book) and the text of the articles. Extended quotes, that would usually be offset in any standard print copy, are often not formatted in this way,, making it difficult to distinguish between quotation and text. The hyperlinks to the footnotes take you to the notes, but there is no way to get back--unless you bookmark your page, then look up the appropriate bookmark. Ironically, this is all in a book about books! Finally, in the article on the early modern search engine, the author discusses several illustrations in detail--without ever providing the illustrations themselves. How are we to judge the author's remarks without being able to see the illustrations he is discussing?

Buy the paperback edition, It's got to be more complete are accessible than this one. But, of course, who knows until you get the book? At least, don't buy the Kindle edition.
