OK...if you like reading a magazine

I'm a beginning "hunter" and bought a few books for references...I was disappointed in this one...It's basically a series of magazine articles about the author's experiences while metal detecting...and although there's some good info in the book, good luck finding it, since the info comes piecemeal...In addition, it was poorly edited, having many spelling and gramatical errors, and was not organized at all except chronologically.
Given the above, I did enjoy his stories, but I could've found those online or in a magazine...I therefore found it poor for a reference or how-to book.

Not your typical treasure hunting book. Written about the authors actual hunting trips. This to me is what made the book really interesting and exciting. I loved the book and had a hard time putting it down.

Awesome to say the least, not much for the how to, but reather what for. The stories make it impossible to put it down till you have read it cover to cover. The book can be used as a motivational/ inspirational tool...
